THE CRAS RULER, THE REFERENCE TOOL FOR NAVIGATION
The cras ruler is by far the most widely used navigation instrument in France. It has been used for almost 100 years by the French Navy and the Merchant Navy. The Cras ruler is used in maritime navigation or for pleasure boating, both in coastal and offshore navigation and even in case of astronomical navigation in addition to the sextant. Professional sailors and skippers choose this easy and practical tool to plot and measure a course on the chart and make the various points by plotting bearings. Flash-Tide rulers can be distinguished by the colour of the graduations or by the design of the ruler.
