First aid kit

Whatever the type of sailing you plan or the nautical activities you practice, having a first aid kit on board is essential, if not mandatory. The first aid kit will allow you to treat "small injuries" and above all to provide first aid to injured or sick crew members, particularly while waiting for an intervention by the sea rescue units.

FIRST AID KITS FOR COASTAL NAVIGATION AND NAUTICAL ACTIVITIES

The coastal navigation kit is the minimum essential for day trips on open hull motorboats, small fishing boats, day sailboats and more generally all small boats that can navigate in coastal areas. It is also perfectly adapted to all nautical activities on the seaside: kite-surfing, windsurfing, sand yachting, paddle, surfing, ...

D240 COMPLIANT FIRST AID KITS FOR OFFSHORE NAVIGATION

In the semi-offshore and offshore areas, it is mandatory to have a first aid kit that complies with the recommendations of the Direction des Affaires Maritimes (Division 240). For that we propose you two models:

- Semi-offshore kit: It complies with the regulatory requirements (D240) and will be the most suitable for all habitable pleasure craft, whatever the cruising mode (coastal cruising, coastal cruising or offshore cruising within 60 miles of a shelter).

- Offshore Kit: also compliant with Division 240, it is much more complete and adapted to high sea navigation (crossings of more than 48 hours and more than 60 miles from a shelter)

All of our first aid kits are supplied with a list of medications to add (list developed by the Maritime Medical Consultation Centre), one or more medical observation forms to be completed before contacting the CROSS or the CCMM and the "Onboard Medical Guide" published by Vagnon.

For your offshore or deep-sea sailing projects, we also recommend that you take the following courses World Sailing organized for offshore racers, such as the CEPS Survival.
