The Ocean Signal MOB 1 AIS personal beacon, recommended by Spinlock
It is the smallest personal locator device on the market. This beacon has 2 methods to quickly communicate your position to your boat and surrounding boats (5 miles): an AIS transmitter and a visual indication with a strobe light. It also has a DSC function. You can easily integrate it into your life jacket, as it is compatible with even the most compact life jackets. It will emit the first alert after 15 seconds and it will be activated automatically with the inflation of the life jacket or manually. It is GPS enabled and will pinpoint your position and send it to your boat and to boats up to 5 miles away. It is compatible with AIS plotters and VHFs that can receive MOB transmissions. Recommended for use in a lifejacket, it is included in SPINLOCK 's offer as it is perfectly adapted to Deckvest lifejackets.

In addition to the satellite system, the G8A beacon sends an AIS signal when it is triggered. This signal will be received and read by all AIS receivers on nearby vessels, allowing one of them to respond much faster than the rescue team.</p>
