The Sustainable Boating Mooc

The French Nautical Industries Federation (FIN) has created a Sustainable Boating Moocto allow everyone to combine their passion for boating with the preservation of the environment.

This free online training course, aimed at all those who practice nautical activities, aims to help as many people as possible to discover the gestures and practices to be favoured in port, at anchor and while sailing, but also for the maintenance of their boat, including when it becomes unserviceable.
Firstly through existing modules enriched with many images and new written content to deepen the subjects, but also through the discovery of four new themes of Sustainable Boating:
  • boating in the French overseas territories
  • the oceans and the plastic threat
  • boating in inland waters
  • water sports and leisure activities
These modules have been developed in partnership with theIfrecor (French Coral Reef Initiative), Surfrider Foundation Europe, VNF (Voies Navigables de France) and the Ministry of Sports. You can follow this training at your own pace and according to your interests; no time limit is imposed and the modules can be approached "à la carte".
