Detailed features
3-point lanyard developed for the SNSM and approved by World Sailing RSO
To create this specific lanyard, Plastimo has collaborated with the specialists in accident prevention at sea of the SNSM. The association asked the brand to co-develop and manufacture the lanyard that the Sea Rescuers will wear during all their interventions. From this collaboration was born a technical and innovative product, approved for offshore racing (World Sailing RSO) and now accessible to all boaters.
For each lanyard sold: 5 € are donated to the SNSM
Characteristics of the Plastimo 3-point lanyard - SNSM
- Single strap lanyard: unlike traditional lanyards designed with two separate strands, the SNSM-Plastimo lanyard is made with a single strand over its entire length
- Flexible webbing with retroreflective thread for quick nighttime tracking.
- Double safety aluminum carabiners with anti-grip treatment, yellow for attachment to the harness and orange for attachment to the boat. A hard anodization process optimizes the resistance of the orange carabiners to scratching.
- Short flat strand 100 cm, long elastic strand 110-175 cm.
Two overload indicators: when the indicator comes off, the lanyard must be replaced.
Breaking load: 1650 kg. - RORC-RSO 2018 compliant
- Weight 570 g.
