<p>The new generation of EPIRB Smartfind G8 beacons use GNSS receivers and are fully MEOSAR compatible, allowing for greater accuracy and speed of location. It is a dual-frequency beacon with manual activation. Once the EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) is triggered, it sends a signal to a network of COPAS-SARSAT satellites on the 406 MHz frequency.
